Tesla: Elon Musk’s electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing company Tesla has started production of right-hand drive cars for India at Gigafactory Berlin. The company may bring the car into the country by the end of this year. Sources have given this information in one of its reports. Earlier, Britain’s Financial Times had reported that Tesla will send a team to India in April, will look for a place for an electric car manufacturing plant worth 2 to 3 billion dollars (₹ 16 thousand crore to ₹ 25 thousand crore) in the country.

Musk’s team can focus on states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu

According to the report, the team’s focus for the electric car manufacturing plant will be on automotive hub states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. The report quoted sources as saying that some vehicle manufacturers also have plants in Haryana, but Tesla’s factories will be in the other three states. The reason for this is the ports of these states, from where the export of cars will be easy.
